halophile – motile photosynthetic protist

These inexperienced, photosynthetic microorganims were collected from h2o in limestone hollows around Cape Peron, Rockingham. The h2o is incredibly salty, and is what stays from when the sea h2o that is evaporated by the solar. It was significantly more concentrated than 40 parts for every thousand, based on the mixing swirl with h2o of that focus. Mag 300x, section contrast (not the most effective aligned) captured on hand-held apple iphone.
Take note that some parts of the sea h2o are crystallising out in this slide – see the salt crystals at twelve:00 to two:00.
