Dr G. Hotos Lab, Greece – Fishing with college students for Mugilidae fry in Messolonghi lagoon

The fry fish of the genus Mugilidae arrives at coastal waters in discrete universities of 2-3 cm fry fish. Below, at the coastline of Messolonghi lagoon, we fish with a smaller coastline web for fry of Chelon labrosus (identified as domestically “velanissa”) with the aim of transporting them to the laboratory’s recirculation society method for increasing. This is practiced for more than twenty many years for instructional and study purposes. Jointly with Mugilidae we also capture other species these types of as porgy fry, seabass fry, solea fry and many others.
